Mother/Daughter Book Club
Wednesday, February 1 7-8 pm
For girls in grades 7 and 8 with an adult female. Join Nancy for a "Girls Night Out." Come to the Info Center and sign up for this fun group--pick up your books and meet at the library for a great all girls discussion. January's book is Withering Tights by Louise Rennison; February's book is Thirteen Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson.
Practice ACT and Test Strategies
Saturday February 18, 10-2 pm;
Follow-up: Tuesday, February 28, 7-8 pm
For teens in grades 9 through 12. Kaplan Test Prep returns with a full-length multiple choice ACT exam, followed by a comprehensive analysis of your performance on the test. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend on the evening of February 28 when question types will be reviewed, and each student will be given a study plan for success. Class is limited to 36; register for February 18 only.
For teens in grades 9 through 12. During this new workshop, write an essay under timed, test-like conditions. While your essay is graded, a Kaplan Test Prep instructor will teach writing strategies to improve your score. Limited to 20; registration required.
