H.E.A.R.T.

(Homeschool Enrichment Achieved Respectfully Together) is a nine-month, weekly program for homeschooled children that supplements the teaching they receive at home through qualified instruction in the areas of art, science, Spanish, music and physical education. In addition, students are exposed to a wide variety of other subjects during month-long unit studies taught by parent volunteers. The program is on Thursdays from 8:40 am to 2:55 pm at The Village Church of Barrington. Jennifer Burns 847-713-2674

HERITAGE HOMESCHOOL GROUP

HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC HOME EDUCATORS

Holy Family is a support group for Catholic families. We meet the fourth Monday of the month in Algonquin at 7:00 PM. Our group offers Little Flowers for girls, Blue Knights for boys, First Friday rosary for children, and co-op on Fridays that meet twice a month. HUNTLEY AREA 'HOMESCHOOL CONNECTION' GROUP

This group offers monthly parent support group meetings designed to help all local homeschoolers network. They also offer family nights, as well as additional opportunities for children. They meet at the Huntley Library. Petro Efterhuysen 847-515-3182

MCHENRY CO HOMESCHOOL COOPERATIVE

This Charlotte Mason philosophy-based co-op's purpose is to create classes that help supplement a Charlotte Mason education. The goal is to have all parents actively participate and be involved in supporting each other in their teaching efforts. Classes for students are on Tuesday afternoons St. John's Lutheran Church in Island Lake, and field trips are offered on Fridays. Jane Rowley (815) 344-8920

McHenry Co. H.O.U.S.E. is a chapter of Illinois H.O.U.S.E., a non-sectarian and all-inclusive group for child and parent peer support. McHenry Co. H.O.U.S.E. offers networking, children's activities, field trips, a newsletter, and various classes. They meet throughout the year in Crystal Lake and Woodstock. SOCIETY OF ST. SCHOLASTICA HOMESCHOOLERS

This Catholic support group offers mom's meetings the third Friday of the month in private homes throughout the region. Support for the entire family in the form of field trips and activities such as spelling bees, recitals, rosary making sessions, and May Crowning ceremonies help to immerse the children in their Catholic culture.
