Join beginning computer classes for adults 18 and over. Each class meets for one hour and classes are limited to three people.

Introduction to Microsoft Word 2003

Whether you are new to Microsoft Word, need to brush up on your skills, or just want to see what's new in the 2003 edition, this course is for you. In this course, you will learn to use such critical and time-saving tools as special characters, AutoText, AutoCorrect, graphics, tables, bulleted lists, numbered lists, and outlines. You will also learn to format text and documents; work with columns, headers and footers, and page breaks; and more.

In this course, you will learn to build and navigate spreadsheets, work with formulas, format cells and contents, apply styles and templates, set up pages for printing, organize workbooks, and more.

How to Use a Mouse

This class covers Internet-related skills, including typing in web page addresses, conducting searches on the Internet, and printing.

E-mail for Beginners

In this class you will learn to send and receive e-mail, as well as to copy, forward and save e-mails to folders. Sending attachments will also be covered. While many e-mail providers are available, demonstrations will be conducted using Yahoo. Participants may also register for a free e-mail account on Yahoo during the class.

Photo Policy

The library reserves the right to photograph and videotape program participants. These photos and videos may be used in library publications and publicity, including local access cable. Notify library staff if you do not wish to be photographed.
